Claims Handling – Introduction

This course is designed to give the learner an overview of how claims are handled. It will be of particular use to those new to claims handling or to any other departments or staff who need to learn about the claims process.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Explain the stages that a claim goes through from notification to settlement
• Describe how an insurance contract is made and explain associated documentation
• Demonstrate an understanding of how property, motor and liability claims are dealt with
• Explain the litigation process
